Enco To Be Presented With Manufacturing Hero Award

Enco is excited to announce that we have been named 'Manufacturing Hero' by the distinguished Made in Group.

The Manufacturing Heroes recognition is a campaign set up by Made in Group, to celebrate manufacturers within the membership group who have demonstrated strength in a time of crisis.

Trade associated Made in Group began this to highlight the achievements of UK manufacturers who worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic, which was started with those who participated in the UK Ventilator Challenge to help save lives. Made in Group have voiced their view that government procurement for the NHS had failed over a preference to source from overseas suppliers and overlooked the quality manufacturing talent domestically.

Ultimately, all ‘Manufacturing Heroes’ will be presented with a specially commissioned badge manufactured in the world-renowned Midlands Jewellery Qtr by Thomas Fattorini Ltd, a company based in Birmingham and who were granted a Royal Warrant of Appointment to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2008. Many of these recognition ceremonies have taken place in 2021, with Made in Group planning to continue the recognition ceremony into 2022 with more companies to be announced in the near future.

ENCO’s new groundboard at the MBI Shay Stadium

This Saturday some of the ENCO team went down to watch the Halifax RFLC v Leigh game at the MBI Shay Stadium, in Halifax. Where Halifax won comfortably, 33 - 26. They also got to see ENCO's new groundboard up for the first time.

2021 Saw ENCO Move into Their New Office Space

In the summer of 2021, the Team at ENCO set out to create a brand new workspace for our in-house Projects Department, new Design Team, Senior Management Team and the Admin and Accountancy Department.

Based at Riverside House, directly opposite from our Bridgefield workshop sits our two-storey office block. From a run-down office building, the team at ENCO got to work developing a brand new open plan office space.

The Layout of Our New Offices

The facility contains a modern boardroom, meeting room, design space, fully fitted kitchen, dining area and two individual open plan office spaces.

Based on the ground floor we open to a modern reception and waiting area, which extends onto our state-of-the-art boardroom. To the back of the building, we have a modern design kitchen and break space for all employees to enjoy. Our ground floor office space will soon be home to the Finance, HR, and Admin Team.

The first-floor office houses the Projects and Design Department as well as being home to our owner and Managing Director Jamie Moody, as well as the Senior Management Team.

New Offices Aid an Expanded Workforce

The new office expansion is part of the organic expansion of ENCO and we will continue to focus in 2022 to maintain the highest standard across all areas of our business.

ENCO Ltd Announces Partnership with LS28 Halifax RLFC Supporters Club

We are proud to announce that ENCO ltd has officially joined the LS28 Halifax RLFC Supporters Club. ENCO ltd will be joining them in their aim of doing revolutionary things for Halifax RLFC.

Commercial Manager, Lee Church, and Owner, Jamie Moody, are massive supporters of the club and wanted to give back to the club and its fans for the years of enjoyment they have received.

As part of their partnership, ENCO ltd has paid for a luxury 61-seater coach to take fans from Halifax to their game in London on July 15. This will allow 61 fans to travel down to London for free, saving them hundreds on travel costs and ensuring they dont miss one of the fiercest games of the season.

ENCO Ltd. Apprenticeships

In December we welcomed a brand new apprentice, Chloe Sykes, who has joined us one day a week at the moment. Chloe Sykes attends KITS college four days a week where she is completing her studies. She spends the remaining day learning skills with John Hanson.

In February/March Chloe shall have completed her time at KITS and be coming to ENCO Ltd. full-time to gain valuable experience to go towards her apprenticeship. We look forward to watching Chloe grow and develop in the world of engineering. We have high hopes for Chloe and her future here at ENCO

In September 2018 we also welcomed a new apprentice, Joseph Kendrick, who was fresh out of school! Joseph really enjoys engineering and felt this opportunity would be a natural fit for his journey into the world of work.

Joseph will undergo a great induction with one of the best in our senior Fabractor John Hanson and we have high hopes for him the future. As our MD Jamie Moody encouragingly explained, 'the world is your oyster Joseph'.

Joseph attends Kirklees College on Mondays and Tuesdays and gains excelling experience 'in the field' during the rest of the weeks.

ENCO Ltd. Christmas Food Donantion

Just before Christmas, ENCO Ltd made a charitable food donation to The Gathering Place, in Halifax. The Gathering Place is a building in the centre of Halifax, out of which run lots of different projects, all of which have at their core, a heart to serve and support the vulnerable, marginalised and broken people in our local area.

ENCO Ltd. did a large food shop of soups, pasta, instant noodles, bread and also essentials such as toilet roll, toothbrushes and more and donated them all at The Gathering Place.

We hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and a great New Year. We can't wait to see what 2019 has to bring!

ENCO Continue to Support the Industry Through Expanding Both Their Workforce and Premises

Last year, Engineering specialists ENCO Ltd moved into their 12,000 sq. ft. workshop with 3 high bay specification, two ten-tonne and a five-tonne crane. The Elland-based firm then took on several new employees throughout 2020 and are hoping to expand into bigger offices in 2021, continuing their company growth.

ENCO Ltd is a family run business with over 10 years’ experience in Pipework, Fabrication and Engineering. Having been started by founders Jamie Moody and Joanne Hart from a small unit in Greetland in 2009, the company has since grown exponentially and now employs over 40 staff – helping to provide fantastic career opportunities for the people of West Yorkshire.

Some of ENCO Ltd’s clients include ICS Cool Energy, Veolia and Kemira; manufacturing and installing large fabrications, skids, tanks, and vessels in major sites across the UK and internationally, including prestigious locations such as Somerset House in London.

Supporting the local community has always been of great interest to the decision-makers at ENCO Ltd, which has been evidenced in various contributions throughout the years, including sponsoring the local cricket league, Halifax Rugby Team, Overgate Hospice and doing an annual Christmas food bank donation.

Both regionally and nationally, ENCO Ltd has built up a reputation for excellent pipework and general fabrication and welding skills. Their current workshop provides a three high-bay specification with further upgrades planned, providing the capacity for heavy fabrication work all welded in accordance with BS EN and ASME standards.

With the impact of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak being felt by businesses around the world. We wanted to take this opportunity to reassure you that whilst we are currently open for business as usual, we are rigorously following the advice of the Government and Public Health England and putting the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees and our valued customers first.

ENCO Ltd complete Sweden installation as part of their international growth programme

ENCO Ltd has recently completed the pre-fabrication and installation of various sized carbon steel fully welded pipework, to serve a thermal oil system for a market leading global manufacturer at their site in Sweden.

The specialist ENCO team manufactured the majority of the pipework over a three week period in their UK workshops, before transporting by articulated lorry ready for the team of pipe-fitters and welders to assemble in Sweden. ENCO’s engineers then integrated this pipe-work with the customer’s existing ancillary equipment and terminations. The meticulous planning and preparation ensured the work was completed safely, ahead of schedule and with complete customer satisfaction.

Jamie Moody, Managing Director of ENCO Ltd, said, “We are delighted that such a prestigious client chose us as their preferred supplier when completing this job in Sweden. ENCO is a rapidly growing organisation and part of our plan is entering into new overseas markets, so to complete this international project makes us extremely proud. ENCO celebrates 10th birthday with junior sporting sponsorship and ongoing charitable support

Elland mechanical engineering firm ENCO are celebrating their 10th successful year in business. To celebrate they are committing to supporting 10 junior sports clubs in the Halifax area, and continuing their support of a local charity.

Since its inception in 2009, the company has grown from operating out of a small unit, to now delivering large fabrications out of two facilities. Whilst also employing around 40 members of staff. Therefore, want to share their ongoing success by giving something back to the local community.

Enco Completes Intensive Two Month Project with Kemira Chemicals

In June, ENCO was contracted to help Kemira Chemicals to expand its manufacturing facility in Goole, following winning the tender earlier in the year in the face of very stiff competition from other established vendors. The work completed was part of the expansion of Kemira’s facilities to allow for more flexible raw material use in the process.

Kemira was founded in Finland and has become one of the world’s leading chemical companies. Its main areas of expertise are pulp, paper, water intensive industries, municipal water treatment, oil and gas. Kemira now has sites all over the world and employees nearly 5,000 people globally, including many at their plant in Goole, UK.

The ENCO team has several years of experience working within the chemical industry, so they were a natural fit for this project. This project is part of an ongoing expansion of ENCO’s portfolio as it revisits familiar industries using its staff’s expertise and additional training to propel it forward.

Work began on the project in early June, when ENCO was introduced to Kemira by Design Contractor Manrochem Ltd. to install the necessary equipment for Kemira’s expansion. This included the installation of two new 50m³ dissolving vessels, one new 14m³slurry vessel, GRP water tanks, process equipment and associated infrastructure.

The process of installing the necessary equipment for Kemira’s expansion took ENCO just a couple of months, despite the unbelievable weather that the country went through during this time. ENCO’s staff were working at the peak of the heatwave in full protective gear and provided a professional and reliable service no matter what the weather brought.

“Our client’s urgent completion requirement was a key focus for ENCO from the outset which meant high intensity work patterns both in our facility and on-site and we are extremely proud of the team in coping so well in both management and safe delivery. The team had encountered uncomfortably high temperatures and often worked outside being exposed to the full force of the elements including hot sun and on occasion, torrential rain and wind.

Our client was extremely helpful throughout the process and we aim to continue to work well together on future important projects. We are also very grateful to Manrochem for presenting and assisting us with this opportunity. We were very lucky to work with Manrochem who provided detailed isometric drawings allowing the offsite manufacture and seamless installation due to their professionalism and high level of accuracy throughout the process.”

Safety was of great importance while completing work on the project and ENCO managed to work seamlessly alongside Kemira’s ongoing operations throughout the installation process. Through forward planning and strong communication, Kemira’s operations were uninterrupted with normal staff and vehicle movements. ENCO’s team maintained high safety standards throughout their time on the site and the project was completed without incident.

“Enco were brought in to install pipework and auxillary equipment during an upgrade project at our Goole plant, they mobilised their workforce promptly and completed the installation work in a very tight time scale. Enco were able to provide the right amount of skilled labour to ensure that we were able to do this whilst the plant was still in full operation. In October the team at ENCO Ltd. attended a review session at Croft Myl, Halifax with Snowflake Media. The meeting was held in Croft Myls newly refurbed roof terrance, which even have an internal slide allowing colleagues to travel easily between floors!

Joining them was a brand new team member, Admin and Marketing Assistant, Mackenzie, who immersed herself in the session. the session was hosted by Lee Kenny at Snowflake Media, where we discussed the future of ENCO Ltd.

This was a great session and we hope to share more of the positive outcomes in the near future...

ENCO Ltd are pleased to announce that our operative, Jason Rodgers, will take up additional duties as our new Fabrication Chargehand. This is in recognition of his commitment and workmanship. Jason brings with him a wealth of experience in complex fabrication work. Furthermore, Jason will assist John Hanson with general day-to-day running of the factory including coaching and development of our apprentices.

Pipework Installation at Waste to Energy Plant, in Derby

ENCO Ltd was selected to complete a new 316 stainless steel pipework installation. This was for a new duty and standby pump set, to a waste to energy plant. The pipework installation was completed during a week-end shut down period.

A site visit and measure provided us with information for the area to be replicated within our works premises. Where we manufactured all interconnecting pipework in flanged sections. Furthermore, this helped to minimise downtime whilst on-site. The pipework and brackerey were fabricated off-site. Leaving a site measure for the final 'tie-in'.

The photos demonstrate how the piping components came together whist on site. Also, leaving one very satisfied client with the works completed in a 12 hour shift - ahead of schedule!

Thus, proving the importance of proper planning and preparation!

Last Friday the team at ENCO finished the week with a quarterly company brief, awarding Adam Czarniewski employee of the quarter. Elland Engineering firm rapidly expanding to support national and international growth plans.

Engineering specialists ENCO Ltd is to expand its workforce to support the firms national and international growth plans. The Elland-based firm has already taken on 13 highly skilled employees over the past nine months and intends to recruit a further five over the coming months, expanding their ever growing team.

The launch earlier this year of a new 12,000 sq ft workshop in the town, has significantly increased the engineering firm’s capacity. The business is looking to recruit a quality manager, commission based sales associates and referral agents, welders, pipe-fitters and fabricators to allow the company to support its expansion and to continue to develop within in its field.
